Bolstering the Safety Line | Successful Completion of SLK's Fire Emergency Drill

2025-06-26

On the afternoon of June 25, to effectively enhance the fire safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of all staff, SLK Technologies Inc. ("SLK") organized a fire emergency drill that closely mirrored real-world scenarios. The drill, aiming to "prevent risks, strengthen awareness, and improve capabilities," covered multiple departments, including production, management, and logistics. It simulated the entire process of responding to a fire emergency to test the scientific nature of the company's emergency response plan and the efficiency of team coordination.

Emergency Situation: Immediate Activation of Full-process Emergency Response.

At around 16:50, a simulated scenario in the production area assumed that "an employee accidentally broke a flux packaging bottle while handling it, and the flux ignited upon contact with high-temperature welding operations, with the fire spreading rapidly." The on-site safety officer promptly reported the emergency to the chief commander, Jian Xun. After evaluation, the chief commander immediately ordered the activation of the fire emergency response plan.

At 16:52, the alarm sounded throughout the factory. The chief commander swiftly notified Jia Jia, the head of the communication group, to make a simulated emergency call to the 119 fire rescue service and informed all emergency group leaders to execute the emergency plan. The fire fighting and rescue group, led by Wang Guanglang, used firefighting equipment to tackle the initial fire and rescue important materials. The evacuation group, led by Liu Xuewen, guided on-site personnel to evacuate along safety signs within 3 minutes. The security group set up warning lines at exits to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering risky areas. All departments assembled in the designated safe areas in the predetermined order. Subsequently, department heads reported the expected and actual attendance and casualties (no "casualties" occurred in this drill), confirming the safety of all personnel.

Practical Training: A "Safety Lesson" from Theory to Practice.

To consolidate the outcomes of the drill, the on-site commander conducted a seminar on the "One Unimpeded, Two Abilities" principle (unimpeded fire evacuation routes and safety exits; ability to extinguish initial fires and self-rescue/escape). The commander demonstrated the use of fire extinguishers and hydrants and the key points of dialing the fire alarm. Several employees were selected to operate the firefighting equipment on-site, with the chief commander providing real-time guidance and feedback to ensure they "understood and could use" the equipment. At 17:25, the chief commander declared the drill a complete success.

Exercises for Prevention, Bolstering the Safety Barrier.

From the emergency trigger to the summary evaluation, the entire drill was well-organized and tightly connected. The goal of evacuating all personnel within 3 minutes was efficiently achieved, fully validating the feasibility of the company's emergency response plan and the team's emergency response capability. Safety is paramount, and prevention is better than cure. In the future, SLK will continue to strengthen safety production education, regularly conduct various emergency drills, and truly integrate the "Safety First" concept into daily production and management, building a solid defense for employees' safety and the company's stable development.
